Lake Champlain was a hub of steamship activity from the late 1800’s to the early 1900’s. The steamer “Ticonderoga” is on display at Shelburne Museum. When we visited there, the tour was starting in a few minutes so we stayed. We were the only two people on the tour. The women pictured here were visitors in the wheelhouse. They stayed with us about 10 minutes. The guide was a retired fellow who rode the steamer as a child.
